Application Engineer Software (m/f/d)

for our imaging solutions

Your tasks:

  • direct contact to our key account customers, supporting them in the use of our hardware-related SDKs and in the integration of our devices into customers’ software control (different programming languages)
  • supporting our Key Account Managers and manage technical communication (via email, call or even on-site)
  • software testing with new hardware prototypes before they are sent to customer 
  • sample code creation for special customer requirements to show the capabilities of our devices and our software
  • identifying requirements which cannot be met with the existing SDK, writing internal requirement documents (user stories)
  • troubleshooting via reading and understanding log files from customers and narrowing down the cause of the problem through your own software testing
  • close cooperation with Key Account Management, Application Engineering (HW), R&D and international teams (mainly in Asia) 

Your profile:

  • a college / university degree in computer science, electrical engineering, physics or similar
  • being able to program well in at least one programming language (preferably C/C++, C# or Python)
  • code-reading skills in other programming languages, specifically Objective-C, LabView, Matlab and Lua
  • at least three years of experience with hardware-related SDKs or integrating measurement devices into a control flow
  • professional experience in customer communication and flexibility for quickly gettting up to speed on customer issues and dealing with rapid context changes
  • experience with MacOS is desirable
  • very good knowledge of English (both written and spoken), German is a plus
